Cross Border E-Commerce

Description

E-Commerce is experiencing unprecedented global growth from 10.4% of global retail sales in 2017 to 14.2% of global retail sales or $3.5 trillion in 2019 , with China accounting for nearly 50% of all on-line sales.  ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asia Nations), the world’s third most populous region with 647 million residents, is projected to quadruple its e-commerce from $100 billion to $300 billion by 2025 , fueled by internet penetration and changes in shopping behaviors. The fastest growing segment of e-retail is Cross Border E-Commerce (CBEC), whereby consumers can purchase products directly from suppliers in other countries, is rewriting the rules for how small and medium sized US companies can reach consumers in Asia.
